at the bottom i have how to upgrade but it can be costly
so read this first part if you dont want to speed too
much money
++first off dont worry about the processor, i run a p3
550 with 256mb ram not to great but i run xp w/ many
adobe products,
++if you want to invest in a program try "pestpatrol 4.2"
for 40 bucks not bad helps keep crap programs out, or for
free look for "spybot" good not as effect sometimes though
++next disk clean up is a good way to go, run that
program in your system tools while in safe mode
++finally in control panel go to system- then hit the
advance tab and under performance hit setting and a menu
will appear click on "adjust for performance"
all of these are great ways to speed up the computer
without going out and speeding big bucks other than that
run disk defragment after and you should be good
HOW TO INSTALL A PROCESSOR!!!!!!!!!!!
very easy its just find a compatible processor. first off
you prob. have a p3 so the most you can upgrade is 1.2g i
think you prob will want to go up to p4 or athlon,
meaning new board new memory and processor i figure cheap
200 bucks, INSTALLING IS EASY THE MOTHERBOARD OR
PROCESSOR GIVE EASY INSTRUCTIONS, INSTALL THE BOARD THEN
PLACE THE PROCESSOR IN THE SLOT making sure its in the
right way... look for "pin 1" on the board and processor
THEN SECURE THE FAN/HEATSINK ON BEFORE YOU PLUG THE
COMPUTER IN, YOU MAY HAVE TO BE FORCEFULL PUTTING THE FAN
ON BE VERY CAREFULLY
