"Windows can not install hardware. Corrupt or missing
Driver Code 39" This is the message i get when i try to
install the floppy driver to my system. This floppy drive
worked up until approx 11 days ago with no problem. Then
Quicken said it did not exist when i tried to backup
checking. The tree view of installed devices in the
hardware section show a floppy drive being installed but
floppy drive icon has a yellow dot with a black
astric "!" inside the dot. If i uninstall the driver the
icon and dot dissapear but after closing do computer and
rebooting the tray informs me tha i have new hardware, a
floppy drive found. I go to the hardware wizzard and when
trying to install driver is get the message this message
starts with. and this is the case using different options
through the F2, F8, and F12 boot screens. Would really
appreciate any help. Do not really want to rebuild
harddrive if at all possible no to have to. When u do
that u allways loose data somewhere.
Thanks for any help or suggestion.
Doug
