Well I hope that you returned the new copy of WinXP that
you just bought and got your money back. If you have a
licensed copy of Windows XP but are just missing the key
belonging to it, call Microsoft directly and they should
be able to provide you another one. Don't waste your
money or be afraid to pick up the phone. You shouldn't
have to buy another copy to solve this problem.
