Ongoing problems with XP errors

Help, this has gone on for too long. When I start up I
get this error message: "error loading
C:\\Windows|Download Program Files\bridge.dll" "The
specified module could not be found."

What does that mean and what am I supposed to do?
I'm having lots of problems such as links not working and
instead of going to the next screen, I get a popup that I
have to enlarge (that is my screen).

The other problem is that several times a day I get into
the midst of something and I get this error: Explorer
has encountered an error and needs to shut down."

someone said to re-install windows, others said it's a
driver, I did a search for that program that can't be
found and it isn't there _ I don't know what else to do.
Could my Photoshop be messing things up? I use it a lot.

thanks in advance to any genius who can help me. Lois
