Hi Purspyk,
The "expert" I am consulting with my problems suggests it is a glitch in WINDOWS XP and cannot be cured - wrong, of course, because I have XP on my laptop (NERO not installed) and dont have that problem. Since XP can take over the disk burning function I will remove NERO from my desktop and see what happens. Will let you know.
