System Locks Up

I deleted some old programs and now my system locks up and
will do nothing. The lock up is random. Sometimes the
system will runs for 5 minutes, sometimes 15 seconds. When
it locks, the mouse arrow freezes and I have to hit the
reset button. No error message is ever posted.

Any suggestions?
