Thanks for the information.
Looks like the firewall was my problem. I had the other
items (Virus update and MS Windows Update)
I now have the utilities from Microsoft and Symantec at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32
.sasser.removal.tool.html
