16 bit program error

My home computer was loaded by spyware last
week.....thanks to the friend who sent the link. my virus
control and ad-aware found hundreds of items. I killed
them....now....
Now it says I have a
(1) "can not run 16 bit windows program" error and it (2)
will not let me restore to a previous date. Also (3)if I
shut down it gives me an error for my run32dll.exe error.
Help....do I need to do a complete overhaul?
