sasync.dll and wupdate.exe

Hi - my system recently started taking several minutes to
boot up. When it does, I get an advisory box saying I'm
missing "sasync.dll", and when I shut it down, another
box telling me to wait while "wupdate.exe" runs. Any idea
what this is really trying to tell me? Thanks -
