start / programs / accessories / system tools / files and
settings transfer wizard should do the trick. Or backup
data / registry and restore after.

unfortunately, it does not give me repar option but to
reinstall XP pro to factory settings. i talked to HP
support, but did not get any satisfactory response. :(
