Re: I'm unable to download service pack 2

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Unknown

You really are demonstrating your ignorance. It does not seem to be a
pretence.

Please post a complete copy of the Stop Error report.

Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should help by
allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Keep pressing the F8
key during Start-Up and select option - Disable automatic restart on
system failure. Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure.
Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

This is part of a standard response where a computer gives a BSOD error
in response when a user tries to boot and has not a posted a complete
copy of the Error report.

Your problem is that you don't read or you don't comprehend what you
read. Then post garbage or misinformation.
Just the other day you told a poster who couldn't start his computer
to turn off 'reboot on error'. How can he????
Then you argue about it and deny everything when confronted.
This newsgroup is just full of your nonsense.

Unknown is a Troll on a personal crusade to annoy me. He pretends
not to understand. In another newsgroup yesterday he chose to
squabble with another Troll. It made me smile.

JB posted on 23 December 2008. He never made clear what exactly was
installed and never made a further post. He had some version of
Windows XP pre SP2. JB wanted to bypass SP2.

I think that the underlying reason for the dissent here is that
Unknown is only talking about *downloading* the service pack, not
*installing* it. I daresay one could *download* SP3 for XP with an
unpatched Windows 95 machine if you really wanted to.

The OP, jb, probably meant "install" in the original post, but
he/she's probably long gone, in which case we'll never know.

You've become a parrot. Why don't you just say Pretty Polly or
Pieces Of Eight twenty times and call it a day?
