Re: Icons on taskbar/toolbar are big and fuzzy...

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I went back to the appearance tab and changed it to WinXP theme.

Thanks for yopur help.

Go into Display Properties (Right click the desktop then click Properties).
Click the Settings tab then click the Advanced button.
On the new window that pops up, select General (if it isn't already) and set
the DPI setting to Normal, then click apply.
Does that solve your problem?

Ken,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, it is the icons in the System Tray. The
other icons (desktop) are very clear. I have a new laptop with high
resolution and it's in a docking station with an external monitor. They are
quite large and fuzzy.

Thoughts?

In setting up my new pc with XP, I've must have done something that enlarged

How do I change this?

Are you talking about the System Notification Area (aka "System
Tray"), the area near the clock?

Is it just those icons that are bigger, rather than everything on the
screen? If it's everything on the screen, you want your resolution to
be higher. Right-click a blank spot on the desktop, choose Properties,
and, on the "Settings" tab, change the resolution by moving the slider
to the right.
