I bought a used computer - it's a Dell Dimension 3000 Windows XP HomeSharon
Edition
Service Pack 2 version 5.1.2600. I've installed all critical high
priority
updates successfully. I installed the Adobe flash player 9 and it shows
it's
an installed program in the add/remove programs list but i can't access it
and when I go to test players page it says I need latest flash player
installed and javascript enabled. I'm still learning how to "talk" to this
machine. Can anybody help computer dummy grandma? Thank you for any
assistance you can give me.
Sharon,
Go back to the control panel > add/remove programs and uninstall Adobe Flash
Player 9, again.
Than use the uninstaller tool from Adobe
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
It will remove anything left behind.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find the uninstallers.
Run the uninstaller for Windows Adobe.
Reinstall Adobe Flash Player 9 again. I hope this solves your problem.
John
