help - drop down menus on the net

can some one help, please, or give me advice either reply back to this
or msn me on coolcolour@xxxxxxxxxxx

new to here, i no how to delete history on the internet, plus cookies
and temp files. but how on earth to you delete the drop down menu when
on something like google,

ie. goto google.com or ntl.com, etc, and as soon as you type a letter
in there search menu, there is menu that gives you the option to select
a topic, or start of a letter, like in my case, dating, so if i put a d
in the search menu, dating comes up.

am in up a creek with out a paddle and need to no how to delete these
searches incase my girlfriend finds out. i don't need advice on you
dirty dog etc, or wait for a few days, and ask me if the gf has dumped
me

please advise cheers and if you ask, not happy in relationship
