SONY told me to copy all of my files to the external HP drive that

drive ALL AT ONCE, recover the C drive, then copy everything back
from the "I" drive to C, little by little. I am trying to use
Windows Explorer. I thought if I expand "My Computer" to show the C
drive, left click on it, then drag it to "I", it should do the
trick, but nothing happens when I do this. I especially want my
Ipod songs to copy this way, along with my pics and EVERYTHING
else. I dont want to actively think about what I should save for
fear of missing something. So, I want to copy everything to be
safe. My C drive is 75 gig, my "I" drive is 150 gig. The VAIO also
has a D drive of 75 gig but I have nothing on it yet so wont back
it up NOR restore it. Any advice?
Nothing happens because that is insane.
You want a complete backup of a Windows XP system - you cannot be in it
while you are doing it.
Stand on a rug... Pick up the corner... Now pull it out from under yourself
without leaving the rug - ever.
You could use Ghost, True Image, BootItNG, etc - to make an image of the
drive...
