No hurry, I'm heading off to bed.

Google for AutoStreamer.
Other people swear by NLite.
Either will help you integrate at least SP2 - which is all you really need
to start with.

After that just visiting the Windows Update web page or using something like
"AutoPatcher" will get you up to date quickly and mostly painlessly.
