User induced then.. my home network utilizes AVG free, and all of the people for whom I do service have no problems with it either.. a good few of the professionals rate it too..
AVG 6 may have been less than perfect, but AVG 7 cuts it well..

The only compromised machines I've had in the last 6 months were ones
running AVG Free edition, more than 20 to be exact, and all were getting
nightly updates and appeared to be operating perfectly.
