Re: Win 2000 to WinXP

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Agree with you. In our company we still use windows 2000 because we haven't
found anything that is better in windows XP. Why go for something that is
slower and takes allot of more space ?

Is this possible? Is this an easy task? Can WinXP be just installed over
2000?

Peter.

Any particular reason for wanting to install Windows XP? If
Windows 2000 is doing exactly what you want and the apps are
running fine, then just leave it alone. The upgrade path is,
as mentioned by LVTravel, to XP Pro. In the process, make
sure that the computer can work well with XP; our setup for
XP is 1 GB of RAM, 3.0 GHz or faster...at least 2X to 4X of
what Microsoft recommends.
