No, it's not just Widnows XP. That's been the rule for every version of
Windows since 3.1, and is also the rule with almost every other piece of
commercial software.



These are personal PCs not company owned.



Like you, I wish that for home users, they had a license that was good for
an enitire household. But they don't. Like any company selling any product,
they have the right to set the terms for the sale. You have the right to
accept those terms if you like them, or not to buy the product if you don't
like them.
