Thanks for your answer. It was, as you said, a problem with a context menu
entry... Well, sort of...
I forgot to tell that this was occuring on a Gateway system. I finaly
realise that this kind of system has a non documented problem. When using a
video card plugged into the AGP slot instead of the integrated graphic on
the motherboard, it's BIOS has problem to choose wich video device it has tu
use. Finaly, when I removed the video card from the AGP slot and used the
integrated graphic on the motherboard, the problem was gone.
I must also appologise. It's the first time that I use a news group for a
problem. I tought each subject had different reader. so I posted my question
on several subject... Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi, usualy, when you right click on the desktop, you get a "box" where
you can select "Arrange icons by >", "properties" and "refresh", among
other things. Unfortunatly, this feature, on one of my PC, leads to an
"explorer error" and it has to shut down asking me if I want to send a
repport on this error to Microsoft. After that, DrWatson gets also an
error and ask me the same thing (if I want to send an error repport).
Then, the process freezed up and I loose the task bar and all icons on
the desktop.
I have to press the "ctrl-a-delete" to get the Windows Task Manager and
use it to restart the PC.
I tried the "restore" feature on Windows, but it didn't "restore"
anything, stating that there was nothing to restore.
Can anyone help me on this?
