Re: "Page not available" message on secure sites



In Internet Explorer -
1. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
2. Scroll down to the Security Settings.
3. Make sure that the two boxes are checked that say
"Enable SSL 2" or "Enable SSL 3".
Try your secure sites.

Another thing you can try is:
Go to start/run
Type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll
Press Enter or click OK

I find it impossible to open certain windows of secure sites...for example i
click on "card servicing" on my credit card company's site and receive the
"Page not available" message. It only happends on secure sites!

I have switched off my firewall and anti-virus software but it makes no
difference. The site owners tell me that their sites are working correctly
without problems. Can anyone suggest an approach to solve this problem?
I am using Windows XP professional SP2, fully updated with Microsoft security
enhancements.
