Try creating a user and putting him in the Power Users group. Here is a
brief description of Power Users:
The Power Users group is intended forthose who need many, but not all,
of the privileges of the Administrators group. Power Users can't take
ownership of files, back up or restore files, load or unload device
drivers, or manage the security and auditing logs. Unlike ordinary
users, however, Power Users can share folders; create, manage, delete,
and share local printers; and create local users and groups.
So basically, you can use this account for your everyday computing and
if you need to run programs that need Administrator privileges, just
use the Run As command. Many programs, if you right click on them, has
a Run As option and you can then type in an Administrator account and
you will be able to run the program as if you were the Administrator.
If you do not see the option, hold down Shift, then Right click on the
program. Hope this helps.
