Help and support explains this very well, but try this.
Open My Documents, if you see icons for the hard drive and folders in the
left pane, click Folders on the toolbar so you see File and Folder Tasks.
Place the mouse cursor over the file you want to copy to CD.
When you see the file become highlighted. look in the left pane for add to
CD or similar wording.
Without pressing any mouse buttons mover the cursor to the CD option in the
left pane and click or double click. This will add the single highlighted
file to the CD.

Then you should look in Help and Support on using the mouse to select files.
