There are issues with zone alarm pro and windows xp with sp2. Use a
different firewall if you have sp2 installed. Also windows xp by default was
made for broadband not dial-up download a program called Dr. Tcp and drop
the MTU value from 1480 to 576 and drop the RWIN value to one half or one
quarter of what the default value is then click on apply and ok.
