Your mailbox is at your ISP's site, and how much space he gives
you is up to him. It's different for different ISPs. Some (mine,
for example) don't restrict you at all in this regard). So you
need to ask your ISP.
By the way, when a restriction is in effect, it's normally on the
total size of the messages, not their number. So you can keep
more small messages than big ones.
