Dave, I am just wondering - XP needs a LOT more RAM to operate than
previous operating systems. What did you run before - Win 98? How much
RAM do you have on the computer? What do you run for a firewall program -
they can really be memory hogs, as well as antivirus, meaning without
enough RAM they are slow... I've heard of computers working with XP & 128
MBs RAM, but you know, even 256 MBs RAM is taxing XP. Best to have 512
MBs RAM, a lot of people got to 1 gig.
