XP Home SP1 E-Machines PC. As purchased it worked fine.
Now it works terribly slow. AVG6 up to date and finds no
virus infection. Almost every operation that required disk
access in slow as molasses. Have done a complete defrag.
Disk usage is about 12GB free on 20GB drive. Only running 1
maybe 2 apps at the same time, no reason for resources to be
taxed, but just opening My Computer takes way too long!
