drives are gone

I have a p4p800 drives are 1 hp 9300 CD rd/rw, 1 liteon DVD rd/rw, 1 165 gig
Sata drive, 1 8 gig CD, and 1 9 gig CD.
I added the liteon to replace the 9300. It won't handle 700 meg CD's.
I tried running with the 9300 plugged in and not.
the 8 and 9 gig HD's no longer show up.
They used to show up with the via raid tool.
It can't find them at all anymore. windows explorer can't see them.
The only drives now showing are C: 165 gig boot
D: Old HP CD
E: Liteon DVD
I can do without the 9300, but unplugging it had no effect. The drives still
don't show up.
Is there a FAQ somewhere on how to setup all these drives ? At boot up it shows
scanning for primary master, primary slave, secondary master, secondary slave,
and sees nothing not even the CD's.
In setup it can see the 2 CD's and the Sata. setup has never been able to see
the 8 and 9 gig HD's'.
