Arghh! I just downloaded Memtest-86 I don't know how
many times, on my system and a CD, "Tommy" said it was a
solution. I could not seem to run it, and I couldn't
figure out how to open it. Reason I did that is I just
got off phone with d-Dell, they ran a memory test,
passed, he transferred my call to some woman who was
going to help me save all files so they could dump and
reload, but, after next tech,...disconnected, call and
wait and next tech said they don't do that, they don't
show people how to save files,... back to zero. [Last
time I took an 800 number from them where they wanted
$800 to $2900 to "recover" in order for me to download
whatever I have put in since January.] Reason I called
them is I tried to open up the tower, I couldn't, and
couldn't find info in manual of where to pull, afraid I
would mess up my useless warranty so I called them.
Hah. I thought they would tell me how to open it up and
tell me what a RAM looks like or motherboard. I bought
what I thought was enough power to do a lot of photos and
maybe get a website. Dell told me they have NO computer
mechanics in the US. That gives me a big hint for the
next time. Anyhow, I am at your mercy, Microsoft.
Computers are still Model T's of the car industry I take
it and getting someone to really Know whasup is a gift.
And so, Haus, I'll leave you with a saying from Tavis
Smiley. "You can't teach what you don't know, and you
can't lead where you don't go."
