If you have 1024mb Ram then you will have 2 sticks more then likely, I would
pull one out at a time and start it up and run it to see if that is the
cause.
I would say bad RAM or a corrupt hardware drive before I would worry about
taking to a shop, it is easy to pull the ram out and check.
