We are using the Cisco VPN client 3.6.3.B-k9 With a Cisco firewall/vpn
concentrator.
I don't think the user is using the firewall setting in XP. The user
can get connectivity sometimes and other times the VPN client times
out whilst connecting. Other users can VPN.
Which Service Pack should be installed on XP Home Edition?
thanks for your response

Make sure the user has the correct rules in his firewall settings to allow the required ports through (most common blocked is the IKE ports), does the VPN software have a tunnel SSL mode (the newer versions of SecuRemote have this). Also does the user have SP1a (or SP1) on the gateway machine?
