Hi Bonnie,

Check your antivirus software for an option that scans a floppy on startup,
thjs is the most common cause.

Alternately, you likely have an MRU entry in the registry causing the issue,
eventually it will pass as it ages and other entries take its place. But, to
get rid of it now, start/run regedit, click edit/find and search for A:\.
See if it turns up in an MRU key. If so, delete the string from the right
pane containing it. Close the registry editor and reboot when finished to
see if it helps.
