If the OEM version came pre-installed, the sticker with the product code
should be somewhere on the computer case, most likely on the backside. If
you purchased an OEM version, the product id is on a sticker that is on the
shrinkwrap around the CD. If you threw away the shrinkwrap without removing
the sticker, you don't have a product id anymore to use.
Are you sure you are entering the right characters for the product id? Are
you entering a zero instead of an oh (0 versus O), a 5 instead of S, a G
instead of 6, and so forth. Be sure to carefully read the characters in the
product id.
