I have XP pro SP2 and have just noticed that my MS Firewall is not
on.

I tried to put it on but it said I had Group Policy On.

I am the only admin and set it all up myself.

This business box accesses a LAN and a Gateway Router and is on
the internet most of the day as a web designer.

It accesses and is accessed by others on the LAN.

Just wondered if I need to have it differently.

Thanks

If group policy has it turned off, then you will need to use the group
policy editor to turn it on.

Start -> Run -> "gpedit.msc"

Then look under:
Computer configuration -> Administrative Templates ->Network ->
Network Connections -> Windows Firewall ->
Then Domain Profile or Standard Profile as applicable.
