Re: Share Connection with Wii

Hi
Your main Network is 192.168.11.x
The second Network card that connect the Laptop to the Boxes can not be on the same Network.
Either use ICS, and configure the second card, and the boxes with a static IP of the ICS range.
Here is a general example of using ICS, http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/
Or try to configure the second card and the boxes with static IPs like 192.168.22.x and use Windows XP Pro Bridging.

With specific info about my Network, do you mean info like given by my .
wireless router (Buffalo AirStation Wireless-N Nfiniti) and ipconfig /all command (I'm connecting only one console each time to my computer with an Ethernet cable, sharing is turned on at the moment, I'm so paranoid I've removed any MAC addresses from that info in case someone uses them in a crime):

Hi
An arrangement like this needs second Routing (usually Windows ICS), and precise IPs number, it is Not a matter of guessing IPs and DNS'.
A second alternative is to use WinXP Pro Bridging and let the main Router control the IPs.
Unfortunately your description lack the specific info about your specific Network.

I can share my Windows XP laptop's connection with my Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by defining the DNS servers in the settings of those consoles (I get the DNS server info from ipconfig /all). That is, either console can be connected with an Ethernet cable to my computer and the computer is connected wirelessly to my wireless router.

My problem is that I can't share my computer's connection with my Wii. Instead, it gives me error code "51420". In Wii settings I have tried dynamic IP address and dynamic DNS. I have also tried manual IP address (192.168.11.2 or 192.168.1.2) and manual DNS servers (DNS1: 192.168.11.1 and DNS2: 192.168.11.2). I have tried MTU 0 (default) or 1452 or 1500. Any other suggestions?
