Main PC using XP Pro/SP3, 3 HDD's split into a number of partitions, hard wired to wireless modem/router
Have enabled sharing on these partitions.
Laptop using XP MCE/SP3 wirelessly connected to same router.
From the laptop I can see and open the partitions on the main PC but I can only open some of the folders there, others it tells me "not accessible, you might not have permission to use this network resource..." etc.
I thought if i enabled sharing on the partition it enabled sharing for all the folders on that partition.
Why can I share some folders but not others and what can I do about it?
Do I have to enable sharing on each individual folder?
Replies appreciated.
