Additional info:
Both my PC uses Windows XP SP2
My current connection is Cable modem ==> DSL Router ==>PC1 Realtek LAN card
==>PC2 Dlink LAN card
The PC with Dlink LAN card kept getting limited or no connectivity even when I connect direct to the Cable modem. I tried the Dlink LAN card on both PCs and got the same result.

Current situation is as follow:
I'm using cable modem connected to DSL router with 4 ports, one being the LAN/WAN port.
The PC with the Realtek LAN card can connect to the internet without problem but not the PC with the Dlink LAN card.
If i setup static local IP on both PC, both PC can communicate without problem which I concluded that the Dlink LAN card is not faulty.

If I understand your situation:

A. Realtek card works on both computers
B. DLink card doesn't work on either computer

Thus, your conclusion that the DLink card is not faulty does not appear to be warranted.

Buy another card. They are not expensive.
