Hello Everybody,
My desktop has WinXP Pro SP2 while my brother's laptop has WinXP Home.
Both
computers have multiple user accounts for different family members. We
both
share internet by using a wireless router. My brother has his accounts on
both, desktop and laptop, computers. Is it possible (in a home network
setup) that my brother can access only his account on desktop from his
laptop? If yes then how? I have been searching this on internet for weeks
but no luck so far.
Thank you,

Since the desktop computer has XP Pro, he can define permissions based
on user accounts that define who can access shared folders. Ron Lowe
and I have written a web page with full details:

Thank you very much for your response.

Your article has actually helped me create a home network which is perfect
for all students in my family who have their homework files scattered around
in two computers. I did in four hours what I was trying to do for last four
months.

Just one comment: I don't mind the ads as they are important for revenue for
running such useful sites but they should not affect site's usefulness. A
couple of ads were actually jamming the site.

Thank you for your great article. Keep up the good work.

Best regards,

You're welcome! I'm glad that our article helped you set up your
network.

Ron and I wrote the article, but we have no connection to the
PracticallyNetworked web site. You can send suggestions to them at
