Both computers have all updates installed (incl SP2).
Computer1 has XP professinal.
Computer2 has XP home.
I have home network set manually cos those wizards didnt work. Everything
works on home network. Like file and printer sharing.
Computer1 ip is 192.168.0.1 (homenet work nic). Nic having internet
connection geting ip from dhcp.
Computer2 ip is 192.169.0.2
Comp1 internet connection works fine. Firewall only on nic connected to
internet. Home network nic dont have firewall.
Comp2 trying to access internet thru Comp1. No firewall at all.
IF i disable firewall on Comp1, Comp2 can access websites fine. Everything
seems to work.
But if i have firewall ON on Comp1, only site what seems to work is
Google...Yes, Google works, rest dont. Tried sites like MS, CNN and so on.
Pinging sites works.
Any idea what i need to change on Comp1 firewall?
PS. I hope i made sense. Tried to keep it simple. My english is not that
great :)
What firewall does Comp1 have? Some firewalls, such as the free
version of ZoneAlarm, don't allow Internet Connection Sharing. XP's
built-in Windows Firewall is fine.
What type of Internet connection does Comp1 have -- DSL, cable modem,
etc? How does it connect to Comp1 -- USB, Ethernet, etc?
