Hello all,
On Win XP Pro, how can I check what program or process is accessing the
Internet when I'm dialed up?
I selected to download all updates in Automatic Updates and then left it
dialed up for 20 minutes or so. The network connection in the system tray
was lit up the whole time, so I know my computer was sending/receiving
to/from some computer out there. But Automatic Updates was still at 0%
Downloaded after the 20 mins. So I'm curious how I can tell what
program/process on my computer is accessing the Internet, or if some
computer on the Internet is accessing mine!!!
Thanks for any help anyone can provide,
Conan Kelly
SP2's built-in firewall does not let you monitor any "outgoing" (from
your PC) traffic. You need to locate a more complete (aka beter)
firewall that would let you see want traffic is going out to the
Internet, besides that incoming traffice. I use Zone Alarm Free.
