XP Proxy settings with multiple LANs

Hi

Hopefully this is an easy one:

When connected to my work LAN, my computer (XP SP2, IE7) needs a proxy
server specified in the Windows LAN settings (in Internet Options).

At home, when connected to my ADSL modem/router, I don't need this -
in fact I have to disable to proxy settings to get out through the
ADSL connection, because otherwise it just looks for the proxy server
and doesn't find it.

The question is: Can I do anything more automatic than having to go
into Internet Options, Lan Settings, and disbaling or enabling the
proxy every time I move from one network to another? Should the
"Automatically detect settings" option handle this? If so, it doesn't
seem to be doing it.

Thanks

David
