Re: Filesharing Problem - Connect password.

OK, I created a new account that matches one of the accounts on the computer
from which I'm attempting to share. That did not fix the problem.

Do I need to match the ORIGINAL account name of the sharing computer? And I
assume that name must be the original name in case it was ever changed, so do
I use the folder name from Documents and Settings (and change that account
name back to match)?

Can I then delete the original account? Or must it be maintained as the
"master" admin account?

Since the last post I renamed the only user on the laptop to match one of the

help.

I did notice that after changing the user name the folder under Documents
and Settings is named "Owner" -- so maybe that has no impact. Maybe I should
change the name back and then create a new user to match. (I'd then delete
the old user.)

You cannot simply rename a user account. As you have seen, doing this
doesn't change any of the underlying folders. Name the account back to
the way it was and create a new user account with the correct matching name.
