in that case, you need to turn the Linksys into an access point.
disconnect it from everything and use a single computer and connect
to it (don't connect either to your broadband modem).
log in to http://192.168.1.1 (user name admin, password is blank
unless you changed all of this already)
go into Network setup (not Internet setup) and DISABLE the DHCP
server.
then go into the wireless setup and specify a new SSID name
next go to wireless security and setup WPA2
after this is completed (and you may be prompted to reboot the
router, unplug the computer from the router.
plug the router in and connect it to one of the ports on your DSL
modem.

I believe the modem is also a router, it has 1 port for the dsl (phone line)
and 4 ethernet ports.
When this was first all hooked up, the dsl modem was plugged into one of the
ports on the network switch, all 3 computers were also plugged into ports on
the network switch. The Linksys router was plugged into a port on the
network switch via the internet port on back of the Linksys router.
The wired ethernet part of the network works good.
As for the wirelss, I can make a successful wireless connection, but I
cannot access the internet or the other computers on the network.
I'm looking for help on how to best hook this all up..........

switch, with a dsl modem also connected to the switch. The network works

I would like to add wireless to the network for my laptop.
I have a dsl modem, a 5 port network switch, and a Linksys WRT54G Router.
What would be the correct way to hookup this network? Is there any special
settings that I would need to be aware of?
