Don't be misled by the 'myhome.westell.com' Domain - that was just the

I'm using Windows XP Pro and Verizon DSL. I was using the Verizon
provided
Westell 327W modem/router and it worked OK but I had to recycle the
rounter
often - very often. So I decided to switch back to the Westell Model
2200
modem and use a Linksys wrt54gs for the LAN.

Using the modem and one desktop only, internet connection is fine. When
I
add the router (just one desktop wired connection for now) the router
connection seems to be fine but I can't get the internet connection. I
have
followed the procedure of shutting everthing down and restarted in the
prescribed order (so, so many times...). Obviously I am doing something
wrong.

I'm set to obtain IP address automatically and upon request from the
linksys
set up wizard provided dsl.verizon.net as the domain and MyDeskTop
(ie,the
name of my desktop computer) as the host name.

please help.
