New install, can't get file sharing to work.

I lost my C: drive last week.
Installed a new drive, and reinstalled XP Home.
Did all the updates.
I've got Windows Firewall disabled, and I'm using Sygate Personal
Firewall. I've created exceptions for my IP's. There are some other
settings that are required within Sygate, and I've done those.
Besides, even with Sygate disabled, I get the same result.
All machines have NetBIOS enabled.
I have folders shared on PC 1 and PC2 and Laptop.
PC 2 and Laptop can see the folders on PC 1, but get "Access Denied"
when I click on them.
PC 1 can't see anything anywhere.
Oddly, I got an XBox 360 this weekend. I set it up, and it's able to
browse and stream media from PC 1 flawlessly.
What else can I check?
