You're trying to map a drive letter to an administrative share C$.
Windows XP Home Edition doesn't have administrative shares.

You can manually share the C drive and then map a drive letter to it:
\\192.168.1.110\c

or

\\computer\

That little tidbit of info solved was my whole prob;em.Shared the C drive on the XP Home machine manually and took of the $ on th ip and it went right thru.Thank you!I never had that problem in the past sharing C$ from a XP Pro machine to a 98SE one so I never even thought about it.
