firewall is off. I didnt see any errors in event viewer. I didnt
try it in safe mode.
Try it & report back. There has to be something in your event logs....also
make sure your ipconfig /all shows *only* the internal DNS server IP (no
public IPs).
I have a user who wants to use her laptop on our network.
I can't change from workgroup to Domain. I do a ipconfig, it has all
the correct ip addresses, gateway, dns. I cant ping the server,
cant get out on the internet.
Even using a wirelss connection, I still can't see the network or
the internet.
When I look at the internet connection, the numbers are very low,
send 236, receive 13.
any assistance would be helpful.
Any third party firewall software?
What about in safe mode w/networking?
Event log errors?

The firewall just got added in version 2 of Online Armor so it will need some fixing or features to get up to speed with other firewalls. ... But they have lots of fixes to make and other more security-related updates to make to their product so they aren't promising when to deliver on parent-child control. ...
