After standby, my wireless connection is not shown

Hi - I am using SP2 Windows XP. I have a USB wireless device which
connects fine to my wireless network.
However, after standby my wireless device does not show. I remove the
USB device and reattach it, but no luck. I tried disable/enable
Wireless adapter in Device Manager, but this doesn't work. I cannot
see a wireless network in Control Panel.
I have to reboot to see the wireless network.
Can anyone suggest - thanks!
.
