HELP!!! I have no idea how to resolve!

HELP!!! I have an hp 775e and I am trying to connect to the internet.
I use comcast and I called them to try to resolve it but they
couldn't. My computer is giving me an IP address of 0.0.0.0 and I have
no idea why it is doing that. Because of that I couldn't get online.
Also I have tried to renew my ip address and even deleted the old
local area connection and created a new one but none of them work. It
keeps saying that it is aquiring local area conncetion but it never
does throughout the day and then it goes and disables itself. What
should I do to resolve this?
