Hi

my wireless network between xp Pro and Vista ultimate PC's was working
well
for ages,
then I uninstalled Norton Internet Security and now I cannot connect the
two
PC's.

Both PC's connect to the router so I have internet access on both.

Is there any info on diagnosing the problem, I have tried "repair" on the
Xp
and "repair" and
"diagnose network problems" on the Vista but get the messages that all
is
working properly,
but when I try to get access from one to the other I get the message that
it
cannot connect
and to check with the administrator, which is me. I have tried disabling
the
firewall, it's no better.

all help appreciated

regards

Daniel

Daniel,

Which computer did you un install NIS from? Did you follow all Symantec
instructions? Symantec doesn't make products that un install easily.

Beyond that, I would look at LSP / Winsock. NOTE: I have no direct
experience
with LSP / Winsock and Vista yet.
